Title: Use of resilience in your therapy practice, and for self-care
Presenter: Jake Van Epps, PhD, Director of Peer Support at the University of Utah Resiliency Center
Description: Resilience is a learned pattern of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that can be used to recover from and move through difficulty. Utilizing resilience can be our best tool to weather large events like COVID-19 or targeted events, such as marginalization. This session will help us to understand and acquire resilience skills to share with our clients and for better self-care.
Learning Objectives 1) I have a working definition of psychological resilience 2) I understand the uses for resilience and its applications in well-being and self-care 3) I am equipped with resources and techniques to practice resilience
CEU’s have been applied for, for all in‐service programs by Utah NASW and for all programs including Plan‐B Theatre Events. CEU's have been applied for from the Utah Psychological Association for our in-service programs. CEU’s are free for Guild members & $5 for non‐members, per meeting. If you do not want a CEU certificate, attendance is free to the public but still require that you register.
