Description of Practice
I listen with a nonjudgmental ear. My warm, compassionate approach helps clients understand what's going on, feel heard, and develop new ways of seeing themselves. With over 14 years in the mental health field, my transparent and down-to-earth approach has assisted clients ages 17-80 navigating difficult transitions and traumas. I sit with individuals going through a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, LGBTQA+ issues, addiction, surviving sexual and domestic abuse, and spirituality. I am a psychoanalytically-oriented therapist who also uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and other mindfulness-based and strength-based approaches.
