The Care and Treatment of Intersex People

Presenter: Michelle Anklan, CSW

Description: Michelle takes the approach that the "problem" of intersex conditions is not due to intersex variations themselves, rather contemporary society's binary understanding of sex.  She will also address working with intersex clients and their families/parents who are deciding whether to have their child undergo surgical intervention.  October 26 is Intersex Awareness Day.

CEU’s have been approved for all in‐service programs by Utah NASW and for all programs including Plan‐B Theatre Events. We have been approved for CEU from the Utah Psychological Association for our in-service programs. CEU’s are free for Guild members & $5 for non‐members, per meeting.
