Research Findings; Working with Survivors of Male Sexual Trauma

Since 2001, The Weekends of Recovery program has been conducting 3-day and single-day healing retreats for adult male survivors who have experienced sexual victimization as adults or during childhood. The accumulated wealth of information from 77 events providing services to over 1600 male survivors will be discussed in this in-service. What works to engage male survivors?  How do men describe the interventions that are most effective? What is the impact on clinicians who facilitate such powerful treatment experiences for male sexual trauma survivors?

Please note our meeting location: Meetings are conducted at the new Pride Center in Salt Lake City; 1380 S. Main St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115 (near the Bee’s Stadium) ‐ unless otherwise specified in the schedule. Parking is permitted anywhere in the parking lot. Enter the building through the main entrance, and turn right to find the conference room.

CEU’s have been approved for all in‐service programs by Utah NASW and Utah Psychological Association. CEU’s are free for Guild members & $5 for non‐members, per meeting.
