Description of Practice
Laura Rowley, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist at UCEBT. She completed her doctoral training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, working with children and adults in community mental health and hospital settings. Laura completed her APA-accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Primary Children’s Hospital, where she worked with children and adolescents ages 3-18 in the outpatient and day treatment programs.
Laura is the Program Director for UCEBT’s Assessment and Testing team. She conducts diagnostic and comprehensive psychological evaluations for individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of presenting concerns, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning problems, mood and anxiety, and psychosis and severe mental illness.
Laura is also a member of UCEBT’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) team, providing individual, family, and group intervention for adolescents and adults. Laura specializes in working with individuals with high-risk behaviors, including suicidality and self-harm, addictive behaviors, disordered eating behaviors, and dysregulated behaviors associated with posttraumatic stress.
Finally, as a clinician on UCEBT’s Anxiety and Mood team, Laura implements evidence-based modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. Laura utilizes parent management training and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for families of children with defiant behavior problems. She also has experience in couples therapy using evidence-based frameworks from the Gottman Method and ACT for Couples.
Out of State Sessions:
Dr. Rowley is a licensed psychologist in both Utah and Idaho. She can provide both telehealth and in-person diagnostic services for residents of these states.
Dr. Rowley is also PsyPact approved and can provide telehealth services in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
Telehealth services will also be forthcoming in the following state(s): Connecticut (effective October 1, 2022).
