Gender Fluidity: Systemic and Therapeutic Considerations When Working With Children, Adolescents, and Families

Young children and adolescents do not live in isolation; rather they are embedded into various systems (Family, School, Medical, Legal, Religion, Culture). Each of these systems directly impacts the development and experiences of the child. However, for children who identify as transgender, identity development and interactions with their environment can be substantially complex.

This session will focus on clinical considerations and assessments to use when providing care and treatment for transgender youth and their families.

Presenters:  Ryan Randall, LCSW and Colleen Kuhn, PhD
